Permitting Reform
The current permitting process is a roadblock to new infrastructure projects, especially in the energy sector. Modernizing the permitting process would speed up the approval of new energy projects that recognize the need for traditional and clean energy to meet growing demand. Business Roundtable urges policymakers to pass bipartisan legislation reforming the permitting process for energy infrastructure projects.
Addressing Climate Change
Business Roundtable member companies are reducing their emissions through technological innovation because it is good for business, the environment and public health. Business Roundtable believes this effort should be driven by the private sector with public sector support.
