Enrique Lores is President and Chief Executive Officer of PayPal, leading the company’s global strategy, operations, and growth agenda. He is a disciplined, customer‑focused leader with a strong track record of driving innovation at scale while maintaining operational rigor and financial performance.
Prior to PayPal, Enrique served as President and CEO of HP Inc., where he led the company through a major transformation focused on services, subscriptions, and AI‑driven workplace solutions, and helped maintain HP’s position as one of the world’s largest PC companies. During more than 35 years at HP, he held senior leadership roles across the Personal Systems, Print, Industrial, and Services businesses in global, regional, and country‑specific capacities, including leading the Separation Management Office during the 2015 split of Hewlett‑Packard Company, one of the most complex corporate separations in history.
At PayPal, he is charged with accelerating innovation and execution to strengthen the company’s leadership position in a rapidly evolving payments landscape shaped by new technologies, rising competition, and the acceleration of AI in commerce.
Enrique has served on PayPal’s Board of Directors for nearly five years and was Chair of the PayPal Board beginning in July 2024, giving him deep insight into the company’s strategy and opportunities before taking on the CEO role. He is also active in several influential organizations, including the International Advisory Boards of Esade Business School, Business Roundtable, Welcome.US CEO Council, and the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council and Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders.
Enrique earned his degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and an MBA from Esade Business School. In 2024, UPV recognized him as an “honoris causa” doctor for his commitment to lifelong learning, technical knowledge, and business success. He is based in Palo Alto, California.
